What Is Freelancing?

What Is Freelancing Online? – Is It Worth It?

What Is Freelancing Online? Are you interested in learning how freelancers work from home online? Do you want to become your own boss and work either part-time or full-time doing what you love or just are really good at? Freelancing online can be a great opportunity for people with the right skills to pair up with the right buyers and get paid for their services.

But, because freelancing jobs can be very competitive, are they worth it?

What Is Freelancing Online?

What Is Freelancing Online?A freelancer is a person who is self-employed and offers their personal expert services directly through a company or temp agency.

Freelancers are not committed to one particular employer long term.

Services must be of high value or people will not want to buy them.

So don’t waste your time unless you can prove that you are definitely skilled in a certain area and know that you can add value to the buyer.

If you beleive you have freelancing skills please do read on and see what services you might like to consider!

If you’re thinking, hmmm, maybe not! Then maybe consider checking out my #1 recommendation to learn exactly how to start a business online from scratch!

What Is Freelance Online?

To Freelance online, Freelancers sign up to a particular marketplace (example, Fiverr or Upwork) to perform a specific task for a customer who is interested in your service (example, designing a logo or writing articles).

These services are offered through these agencies after you set up your personal online profile with them.

They get customers (buyers) either through a bidding system or set up directly by the Freelance Company (usually comes with a fee for their services).

Now, let’s take a look and see if any of these services offered below may be of interest to you.

However, the chances of getting paid well are very minimal.

Freelancers are competing with dozens of other designers and only “one person” gets paid for winning this contest.

Are you willing to put forth this kind of effort in hopes that you might be that “one person?”.

***If you’re unsure about freelancing, here’s what I’m doing now to create passive income online!

The Pros

PRO #1 – Freedom to work wherever and whenever you want.

PRO #2 – Opportunity to pursue your passion.

PRO #3 – Be your own boss.

PRO #4 – Great for students.

PRO #5 – Freedom to pick and choose what freelance jobs you want to do and who to do work for.

The Cons

CON #1 – Sometimes you have to work for free until you build up a good reputation.

CON #2 – No employee benefits.

CON #3 – Some freelancers had reported not getting paid on time.

CON #4 – Could earn less money than you expect.

CON #5 – Most jobs are based on bidding which makes it harder to compete and get paid.

CON #6 – Have to pay taxes at the end of the year as they are not deducted on a pay to pay basis.

CON #7 – Difficult to rely on a steady income.

CON #8 – Work can be precarious.

My Opinion!

If you really do have a great skill in a particular service and you know that you can compete and win over lots of freelance job opportunities, then definitely freelancing would be a wonderful opportunity for you to consider.

I knew that I didn’t have the skills nor the requirements to make money online being a freelancer.

Even if I did have the skills, I still wouldn’t feel secure knowing how many people there would be to compete against.

I knew that I really wanted to start working online and I was eager to learn exactly know how I was going to live the “laptop lifestyle” I was looking for.

There was tons of information and ads all over the Internet about making online but I didn’t know what ones were truly legit!

I’m lucky I found one!

I finally found a legit online education platform I can trust. I didn’t have to waste money and I was able to start right away for free.

Being a complete beginner, this was very important for me. I also get to continue working at my offline job until I build up my online job.

This Is What I Call My Passion Job!

I am now at ease knowing that I will have a secure future of making passive income online for myself and for my family!

Are there any freelancing jobs were you considering or would you rather learn another way to make money online and gain financial freedom? Please leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

I’d love to hear more about your online journey!
